Sophies journey

Offering Free Holidays to Children with Cancer in Lincolnshire

Founded in memory of Sophie Robinson—who passed away in January 2016 at just 12 after battling a brain tumour—Sophie's Journey provides free week-long holidays for families in Lincolnshire with children under 18 undergoing cancer treatment.

What They Do

  • Holiday retreats: Two dedicated caravans at Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe are available for cancer-affected families to enjoy stress-free, restorative stays together.

Impact & Reach

  • Community engagement: Driven by four trustees and around a dozen volunteers, the charity remains efficient and community-focused.

How You Can Help

  • Fundraise or donate: Participate in events like their Charity Ball, Santa Fun Run, or Christmas Market and help them continue offering these essential breaks.

  • Volunteer: Lend your time and warmth to support families during their holiday stays.

Sophie's Journey transforms the memory of a young fighter into a legacy of joy, comfort, and invaluable family time—offering moments of levity when they're needed most.
